Hey guys! We are on week 16 of the #31DCWeekly manicure challenge..halfway through and I have to say I’m glad I choose to do it. I have been having so much fun coming up with ideas and trying things I wouldn’t normally do! It’s opened my eyes a little more. Anyway, this week’s prompt was geometric nails. Since I already did the chevron stamping I choose a little cooler of a pattern. Let’s go.
I started off by using ‘Kommotion’ by Sinful Colors..it was part of the KJC collection a while back. I like this color because it’s a purple with blueish tints. It also a gold shimmer in it which I tried to capture in a photo below.
Next, I pulled out my Pueen Party Lover stamping plate, and choose a pattern that looked geometric to me. It’s got lines & small circles. After a few days of wearing it, I finally discovered what it is of in my opinion, I think it’s palm tree leaves? Possibly. I used the white stamping polish that came with the kit.
I really liked how this manicure looks. The color & stamping work great together! Thoughts?
Hi guys! I’m on week 6 of the #31DC2017Weekly manicure challenge, this week’s prompt was Violet nails. I went crazy with the purples..let me just say that.
I started off by painting my nails with Silhouette by Sinful Colors..it’s a light purple. Next I took Purple Diamond which a glitter overcoat with a slight purple tint..I mean slight tint. I just applied that to my thumb, index, and pinky nails.
This is where I decided to two different designs on both hands. On my left hand, I laid several pieces of tape in ‘x’ shapes I believe…then I filled the openings in. I used several polishes, Gold Medal by SC, Purple Pop! by Salon Perfect, Who is Ultra Violet by Wet n Wild, Purple Craze by Sally Hansen, and It’s All a Bluer by Pure Ice.
The only difference on my right hand is, I just made one ‘x’ with the striping tape..and used a few less polishes. Also, I rarely ever take photos of my right hand so that’s why fingers are weird, haha.
What’s your thoughts on this weeks manicure?
I know today I would normally post a book review but I’ve been slacking on my reading lately..bummer but I hope to get back at it soon.
Hey guys! Today’s nail post is inspired by a mani I saw on Pinterest. I normally browse through pinterest when I need a boost..and this time it worked. Here’s the link for it and they even give you a rundown of each step..but I will tell you what I did also.
I decided not to do the designs on all my nails just my middle & ring nails. SO, to start I painted my thumb, index, and pinky nails with Sinful Colors Kurtain Kall (part of the Kylie Jenner Collection). This is a pretty blue with gold shimmer..and semi-matte.
Next, I painted my middle & ring nails with Wet n Wild’s French White Creme..this is my go-to white. I took Kurtain Kall and made half a triangle across the top and right side of my middle nail..left side for my ring nail (hope that explains it). Lastly, I took Sinful Colors Gold Medal and made a half triangle on the lower portion each nail..you want the white part that’s showing to look like a whole triangle, make sense? I hope!
I topped my nails with my Revlon Matte Top Coat. This mani was pretty easy and simple to do. What’s your thought?
Hey guys! Today is Monday and time for another nail post.
I’ve been experimenting with my thin nail tape, trying to see what different shapes and figures I can make.
Thumb, Index, and Pinky Fingers – Sinful Colors (KJC) ‘Silhouette’. This has to be one of my favorite purples. It’s a darker lilac with gold shimmer.
Middle & Ring Fingers – Sinful Colors ‘Gold Medal’. This is one of my go-to accent nail polishes..just a simple gold.
I’m going to try and explain how I made the shapes using nail tape. For my middle finger, I took 2 pieces and formed a triangle. Then laid 2 pieces horizontal. I used Sinful Colors (KJC) ‘Fuchsia U!’. Then peeled the tape away.
For my index finger, I took 1 piece of nail tape and placed it diagonally across my nail. Then made placed a piece vertically and horizontally. Used the same color and peeled away.
I like the end result. It was a little challenging but always up for one.
