Valentine’s Day Pinterest Ideas

Hey guys! I’ve been coming up with different ideas for posts and I haven’t done a Pinterest idea post in why not one for Valentine’s Day?

Gift Idea – Normally, on valentine’s day there’s always some type of candy given to someone you love. I saw this cute idea using a mason jar and putting some type of candy in it. You can decorate it in anyway you want..even personal it for the person your giving it too. I think I may actually do this.

Food & Treats – I didn’t really think too much about food for Valentines day but then I thought well..some might do parties at home or school. I found this pin for valentine marshmallow pops. These seem easy to can dip them in any kind of chocolate, and decorate with anything I think.

Valentine Card – For those of you that have kids, I found this cool valentine’s day card. It will take a little bit of work to make, but it’s cool. Wish I did this back when I was younger, haha. It’s a bubblegum valentine card. You cut out a heart, place the bubblegum balls on it, cover with plastic and glue the outer piece of the heart on. It doesn’t seem to difficult but children would need some help to make.

Decor – I personally don’t decorate for valentine’s day but some do! This pin I found you could easily make for year-round decor can even change the colors. They are canvas heart wall decor. The one that I really liked was the pom-pom one. All you need is a canvas, pom-poms, and hot glue. For the other’s you need a little more but they are all cute.

Extra Candy Wreath – As I’ve mentioned in posts before, I enjoy making wreaths and I found how to make a candy wreath for valentines day! I would love to make this. It also doesn’t seem to hard but I just had to share.

I hope I was able to give a few ideas to you all for Valentine’s I said I found all of these on Pinterest and I may try a few.

Decluttering Tips for the New Year

Every New Year, I get into this kick to start decluttering and to start the new year organized. I have a few tips that I’ve learned/used and wanted to share!

I always have a thousand questions I ask myself about items:

  • Why am I keeping this? why-is-it-do-i
  • Is it broke?
  • Do I really need it for a reason or use?
  • Is it taking up a lot of wasted space?
  • Do I have more than one?

This are just a few of them. I tend to hang onto thing for no reason just because at the time  I got it I thought I desperately needed it for something. I don’t have a lot of space so wasting space for useless items is pathetic in my opinion..need to get better at it.

A few other tips I have are:

  • For closets, I learned to turn my hangers backwards (where the hook is facing you), and then in 6 months, all the ones that you haven’t turned around you get rid of.
  • Odd/Ends, If it has a layer of dust on it, that’s the number one reason to get rid of it.
  • Nail Polish, I tend to buy multiple brands and I always end up buying the same color a lot of times so either I return it or get rid of it. There’s no reason to have multiples of one color…unless I really like it.
  • Social Media, Go through friend lists or who your following and delete those you have communicated or have inactive accounts.

I hope this tips help you in your decluttering!

New Year’s Resolutions

Hi guys! I’ve been thinking a lot this month of what I want to achieve and shoot for in the new year and I thought I would share them with you all maybe for inspiration!

  1. Be More Positive – this year I did a really good job of trying to make negative situations into positive can be tricky at times but i work through it. I’d also like to spread more positively around each day. I’ve always been one of those people that worry about everything but I’m learning to let things go and just move one.
  2. Be More Social – i struggle with shyness, always have especially since i’m an only child. i originally made this blog to be more social and maybe make a few online friends or so. something else that tags along with this is i want to comment more on things people post on social media. it could brighten their day with just one comment.
  3. Be More Giving – a lot of people like kids who grew up as an only child are spoiled. i was not and do not think all are. this year i would like to give more rather than receive. even with just the little things. i’ve come to realize over the past year, that we don’t need things to make us happy, it’s more about the memories. this year i’m going to keep that in mind.
  4. Do Something With My Life – as i’ve mentioned in a few posts, i’m into making wreaths and hope to make something out of it all. this year i would really like to get a move on and possible start an etsy shop. i’m going to work hard and see what i can accomplish.

I hope I gave you some some inspiration to make your own resolutions! What is one of yours?

Past Monthly Favorites – Seche Vite, BBW etc.

Hey guys! Since it’s almost the end of the year I thought I would do one last favorites for the year..these are things that I have been loving the past few months..since the last time I posted my favorites.

Seche Vite Top Coat – This year I’ve been trying different top coats to find my favorite few, this one being one. I have a few polishes that have trouble drying quickly but this one seems do the job! It dries within 5 is on the pricer side at around $8.

Maui Body Cream – My goal has been not to open another body cream until I finish them. I currently working on this one and I love the smell. Being that winter is here, my skin is drier and this hydrates really well. The fragrance is tropical too which I would love to be some where slightly warmer. I’m not sure if this is still out, I purchased it at a semi-annual sale.

Reading – As I have mentioned in posts before, I go through phases where I love to read and then I can’t get into reading at all. Right now, I’m currently reading The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson.

Twisted Peppermint & Vanilla Bean Noel Body Mist – Perfect for the christmas season! I love these scents.

Danskin Gray Furry Jacket – Winter hit us really good this past week and I’ve been extra chilly..this is my favorite jacket. I bought mine years ago and i ended up buying a larger size so it’s even more cozy.

Youtube – I used to watch youtube videos all the time but then i just stopped. now I’m back into it. Some of my favorites are RemLife, LaVitaDeMeg, Jenny Fox Vlogs..all my favorites are vloggers. I’m just really into vloggers.

Pinterest – I’ve always been into the pinterest app but this month it’s been extreme. I’ve found so many diy’s and been having so much fun doing them! Look out for my many posts.

Holiday Baking – In the past years, I wasn’t into baking for the holiday too much but this year I’m all in..I just recently made homemade peppermint patties and it was a success after I found correct recipe! Maybe I will share a post about them!

What’s one of your favorites?

Another Wax Haul!

Hi guys! In today’s post I’m going to share a few new wax scents that I bought recently..two are winter scents and 2 are just random ones.

Scentsationals Balsam & Birch – i’m not a huge fan of pine scented things but i saw this one and just had to give it a try. it’s definitely pine scented and woodsy. it’s not horrible and i’ve already used 2 cubes! if your one that likes pine scented things you would love this.

Better Homes and Gardens Frosty Winter Nights (Limited Edition) – i love the smell of this! i’m not too good at describing scents but i get spearmint in this one. it’s not too strong but it can fill a room.

Scentsationals Pink Velvet – a saw this one in the bin of scents at Walmart and it caught my eye when i read sugar and really just smells of sugar and sweetness. reminds me of froot loop cereal!

Better Homes and Gardens Sunflower & Chrysanthemum (Limited Edition) – i saw this one in the bin too and i believe it might have been a spring or summer scent and i’m glad i picked it up. i’m not sure what either flower smells like, i know i’m describing scents but have no clue what they are suppose to smell like haha..anyway it’s a light floral scent!

Hope you all enjoyed this post and let me know if there’s any scents I should look for and try!

Thanksgiving Pinterest Finds!

Hey guys! Since I shared some Fall ideas that I found on Pinterest I thought why not share some Thanksgiving ones? So I went on the hunt and found a bunch!

Turkey – So I found this pin that has a picture that explains how to cook a turkey, make gravy from the fat and how to carve it! My number one thing is make sure you thaw it for the right amount of hours! 24 hours for every 4-5lbs. Here’s the link.

Thanksgiving Dessert – Who doesn’t like rice krispies? I found a pin that shows you how to make them shaped & look like turkey legs! The one thing I would do that the pin doesn’t, is try to dye the rice krispies brown to look crispy. Here’s the link.

Thanksgiving Decoration – I found this easy & simple looking diy candle holder idea! You take a glass a candle inside..fill the cylinder halfway with popcorn kernels. Last but not least tie a bow with straw. I love this..if you were to do a medium one and two smaller ones, it would look great as a table centerpiece I think! Here’s the link.

Thanksgiving Craft – Have kids coming over and what to keep them occupied while waiting for dinner? I found this pin to make pinecone turkey’s. It looks like all you need is pinecones, craft feathers, google eyes, and felt to make a nose. These are just so simple and cute! Here’s the link.

Quote – I couldn’t make a pinterest post without adding a quote. I found this quote especially for Thanksgiving. Always be thankful for the things you have..not just on Thanksgiving but every day of your life! Here’s the link.

A life post.

Hey guys. I’ve had a lot going on in my personal life lately and I thought I would jump on here to vent a little and just share my story.

Some of you may know I graduated from high school at 15. It’s been 3 years and I still haven’t done any much for my future. I’m undecided but I have an idea of what I would like to do. I’m 18 now and so I can finally work towards my ideas/dreams. The problem is support and pressure. Getting a job will be difficult for me. I can’t bend or twist..and I have a weight restriction do to having scoliosis and rods in my spine. College is something I’ve always dreamed about but I have my doubts. I’m not sure what I would want to go for. One thing I have gained a passion for is making wreaths. I’ve been making them off and on for a few months or so. My new dream I believe is to make a work at home business one..think that sounds right. I want to make selling wreaths my job. It’s something I can do physically and something I enjoy. I’ve always had a niche for crafting.

Like I mentioned above support and pressure is my problem with going forward. My parents 100% agree with me and just tell me to take my time and not too rush. Time goes fast enough to began with. My whole dad’s side of the family doesn’t support my idea or dream. They think I need to get my butt up and go get a ‘real’ job. They put a lot pressure and put me down a lot. I don’t want to over do my back..because the last thing I want is a ton of pain everyday. I can only do what I am capable right? that’s what I think. I just want to work at pursuing my dream..but without support, especially from family it’s difficult.

I’m not going to let it get me down anymore though. I’m going to pursue it. One day I’ll prove them wrong..that you don’t have to go get a ‘real’ job because owning your own business is a real job. And if it doesn’t work out, I’ll plan a backup plan but I’m going to shoot for the stars.

Never let anyone get you down..if your shooting for something go for it! There’s no reason to let someone tell you, you can’t. Believe in yourself, you know what you can do and what your capable of.

I just needed to vent and while doing so I hope I uplifted some you! Stay positive when doing anything even when times get tough.
