Hi guys! I mentioned in an update post awhile back about adding pinterest into my blog posts. I decided I might do for just the seasons or I might make it a monthly thing. This one is related to Fall though. I picked out a few pins that caught my eye, each are from different categories. Let’s start!
Fall Dessert: S’more Cookies – This originally came from iheartnaptime.net from JAMIELYN. It caught my eye because to me, it’s a fall treat. I can’t have a lot of fall desserts because of spices or pumpkin so this I can have! Campfires are apart of Fall and s’mores go with. I can’t wait to try them. Here’s the link..
Fall DIY Craft: DIY Leaf Bowl – This originally came from consumercrafts.com from Morena. Leaves are starting to fall here and I always like to make a craft out of them. It looks so cool and neat that I want to try it myself. It seems easy to make and perfect for fall & thanksgiving! Here’s the link..
Fall Nail Art: Scarecrow Mani – This originally came from nailsbymelissasmi. I have a hard time coming up with fall nail art and a scarecrow never seemed easy..but the patches she did caught my eye. The whole mani looks amazing and it something I’m inspired by! Here’s the link..
Halloween: Pumpkin Carving – This originally came from hometalk.com. Since we still have a little time before Halloween night, I thought I share a pumpkin carving pin I found. I always have trouble carving my pumpkin because I’m not handy with a knife or the tools you can buy. In this pin, they show you how to carve a pumpkin with a drill! Why didn’t I ever think of that? You could come up with different patterns which adds a uniqueness to your pumpkin. Here’s the link..
Quote: I’m always looking for different quotes to remember or quotes to share with others. This one originally came from modernalexandria.blogspot.com. It says “throw kindness around like confetti”..there’s so much negativity around lately and it just sad. I try each day to say something kind to someone or do something kind for someone…it won’t hurt. Here’s the link..
I hope you all like the pins that I discovered and maybe try one!
Hey guys! In today’s post I’m going to share another manicure I was rocking. I’ve always wanted to do leopard print nail art but didn’t think I could do it..even though I know I should’ve just tried.
Colors I used:
- I Klove You: sinful colors kylie jenner collection. this is a dark brown orange copper color..really pretty for fall!
- Good as Gold: essie! just a simple shiny gold..that doesn’t look like a tacky gold.
- Black Crème: wet n wild. just a black.
I painted all my nails but my ring nails with I Klove you. I used good as gold on my ring nails. To do the leopard, I took I Klove you and dabbed it in a few spots and then used a dotting tool with black crème to line the spot. It was that simple! I also made a few spots with just black to tie it all in. A lot more easier than I thought. Definitely going to do this again.
Hey guys! I wanted to share with you a new top coat I discovered that makes your nails seem like gel.
I found this at my local Walmart..just like the title reads it’s by Pro-FX and it’s there Supreme Gel. The label says it a professional salon formula..and it’s an extra think shine top coat. I didn’t do any research on this before I bought it..I just saw it and grabbed it.
You use it just like any top coat..apply 2 coats of color and use as a top coat. I’ve used this for 2 of my recent mani’s and impressed! I love it.
There’s not too much I can say I don’t like about it..if there had to be one it would be the dry time. I do think it takes a little longer to dry do to the thickness. Also, when you apply it..it runs down the brush handle so make sure you brush some off before leaving the bottle. I haven’t had any chips in my polish for 5 days! To me, that’s a pro! The price is a little on the higher side at almost $6 but it’s worth it to me.
They have a few others from this company at Walmart..I didn’t look at them all but I remember seeing a base coat. I might buy that and see how these pair together.
If you have tried any of them, let me know your opinion!
Hi guys! I’ve never been so into doing Halloween manis before but right now..I can’t stop searching pinterest for inspiration and come up with ideas. This time I decided to go with darker colors..I don’t think black nails but I’m fine with dark gray nails..haha.
Colors used (they are all from sinful colors)
- After Dark (Kylie Jenner Collection) – this is a dark gray that has texture like sand paper feeling. i’m loving this color.
- Deja Boo – this is a glitter over coat, suppose to glow but doesn’t really. It has multi-color small glitters along with white ghost. i did have trouble grabbing the ghosts though but I was able to get a few. this is one of the polishes they released for Halloween this year.
- Cauldron Couture – this is also a glitter over coat. it has green glitters along with black glitters..there are a variety of sizes.
- Kiss Nail Art Polish – in the color black..love their nail art polishes!
I painted all my nails with after dark. I choose to do my designs/glitters on my index, middle, and ring nails. I just made 2 lines and lines made lines to cross the lines..hope that makes since on my index nails..kinda like scars? Then I used cauldron couture on my middle nails. Lastly, used deja boo on my ring nails. I ended up getting 2 ghosts on my left hand and 1 on my right hand.
Anyway..this was kinda of a darker Halloween mani. Doesn’t have much going on but enough to make it seem halloweeny.
p.s. were you able to find any of the sinful colors Halloween polishes this year?
Hey guys! So as you can all tell by my blog..it’s mainly all about nails.I thought I shared with you my favorite go-to base and top coat. Over the past few months I’ve tried different ones and I found the one!
These two came in a 3 pack with a cleanser polish..but that one ended up breaking.
Salon Perfect Bonding Base Coat – this your suppose to apply after you use the cleanser but it doesn’t matter either way to me it works the same. It applies well but it can apply too thick. I normally brush off the extra before applying to my nail. It dries fairly quickly, unless you apply it too thick. When I use this my nail polish holds on just like it should. You want to make sure it’s dry though or it will smear up when you apply color.
Salon Perfect High Shine Top Coat – this is an excellent top coat! It does exactly what it says. The shine is remarkable and it holds all the polishes in lock too. It doesn’t take long for it to dry either maybe 5 minutes max..or just a tad longer. Same with the base coat, you want to make sure you don’t apply it too thick because it’s a thick polish. I don’t really have anything bad to say about this either.
You can find the pack at Walmart for sure..I haven’t checked other places. I believe I paid around $5 for it but it’s totally worth it.
If you tried this I would love to hear you opinion..I’m also still looking for a good matte top coat.
Hi guys! I’m back with another post on a recent mani I wore. This time I broke out an indie polish to use. If your not familiar with Indie polishes…they are handmade by independent businesses..basically a small business.
CandiedApplePolish’s Cripsy Crunchy Leaves – You can find her shop on Etsy! Her polishes are fantastic even though I only own a few. I used this as a base color on all my nails. It’s brown base color with different glitters oranges, pinks, and yellows.
Sally Hansen’s Ruby Do – this was the base color for the owl & the lines on the belly.
Essie’s Muchi, Muchi – this I used as the owl’s belly
Wet N Wild’s French White Creme & Black Creme – for the eyes
Sinful Colors Pull Over & Wet N Wild’s Blazed – I mixed a little of these two to make the nose color right
This mani took a lot of different polishes but I’m glad the owl turned out great! BTW, I did the owl all freehand..no stencil.
I know..I know. I said a few posts back that I was on a nail polish no-buy but that didn’t last long.
Wet n Wild’s Black Creme & French White Creme: I don’t own a black polish..only a gel in a gel. I’ve been wanting to work on a few different Halloween nail arts but I needed it first! I’m also running low on my white and I grabbed that too! For nail art, I like to buy the cheaper brands.
Sinful Colors Deja Boo: Last year I grabbed a few of the halloween polishes from this brand but this year I haven’t seen them so I grabbed this one the second I saw it. It’s got gray tint but it’s pretty much a clear polish. It also has glitter and ghosts! Suppose to be glow in the dark..I’ll let you know how I like it in another post.
